The Some What Crazy Life

After 2 bouts of strep and 1 bout of the flu since Christmas...I keeping my fingers crossed that Evan is finally better and has had his share of illness for 2007.

Basketball started Saturday with a win for the Red Rockets. Evan (#15) moved up a division, which makes the game much more exciting to watch. He started his year out with a basket. Nice job buddy! He's a little scrapper with a couple of steals.

Evan also had his last Pinewood Derby on Saturday night for Cub Scouts. Next year he will be a Boy Scout. With being sick on and off for the past month, he didn't have much time to build his car. He and Gary started it Friday night and ready for racing on Saturday.

He was sooooooo excited at the Derby....because he placed 1st in the Den. Of course, as luck would have it, Gary and I were only able to watch his car race in few heats and missed finals since we were on our way to a friend's surprise 40th. (therefore no pics either ).

Oh well...we'll will be there for the district derby.

4 Riders & 1 Skier

They're still happy after a long day on the slopes!!!

We finally made it to Lake Tahoe for a few fun days.

Evan had fun playing in the backyard of Mom & Dad's house. We have a little ramp built off of the stairs for sledding. My nephew, Logan likes to practice his snowboarding off it. Evan gave that a try too.

Maggie REALLY enjoyed the snow...as you can see by her nose. She found it fun to bury her face in it.

We were on our way to Sierra at Tahoe, only to discover the hard way that our 4-wheel drive broke in our car. There's nothing like sliding off the road and getting stuck. So...as the Mastercard ad goes.....
Tow Truck ....$75.00
Chain for Vehicle...,$100
3 Hours of quailty time with your 15 yr old godson while stuck in the Cal-Trans parking lot in the middle of a snow storm...Priceless

Thank god for our awesome friends Jon & Geri who refused to continue onto Sierra without us.

The next day was a little better...We headed to Kirkwood so the kids could do a little snowboarding. Jason, Justin, Jake and Evan had a great time. We also took my nephew, Logan along so he could do a little snowboarding too with his favorite instructor Chris. Sorry guys...no pictures. It was too stinkin' cold to get the camera out. 9 degrees without including the wind chill factor. .

Saturday morning, The Pooles showed up really to roll. Evan, Bryan and Kim hit the slopes at Heavenly.

Baylee had fun playing in the backyard with my nephew Lucas, sledding and having a snowball fight with her dad. By the way...Luke changed Vic's name to Jose.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to keep my blog updated in little more frequently. (Not to wait for two months).
Can't you see why Gary is SO Proud of Greg??? This picture just makes me laugh.

We’re off to Tahoe tomorrow afternoon. We’ll see if I can keep my resolution.
To all my friends and family – have a wonderful NEW YEAR!!!
