The Wiley Cousins

We were so excited to have Gary's brother's family come to visit us from Colorado. We haven't seen them since they moved to Parker in June. Greg had to stay home and work while the kids had their first school break. Julia had her hands full with Delaney, Cassie and Jack. They had a very busy week visting family and friends .

Greg and Molly asked Delaney & Cassie to be their flower girls. Both girls were VERY excited to be a part of the wedding. Isn't that every little girls dream? Jack wasn't as excited to be a ring bearer; he would prefer to be Buzz Lightyear than a bear.

Out of everyone, Jack missed Maggie. He could hardly wait to see her and give her lots of loves. As she was nibbling on his ear, he said "Look she thinks, I'm her chew toy" in his best little three year voice.
We miss you guys....have a great time at Disney World!!!

It's Official....
Evan Swims Faster than Mom
Dolphins' Fall Swim program had a little meet today to end the year. The swimmer were able to choose several events to swim it. Evan swam the 100 yd back, 200 yd free, 50 yd breaststroke and 100 yd breaststroke. And if that wasn't enough, he jumped into a open lane to swim a 100 yd IM (that's all four strokes).
As you may or may not know, I've been swimming about 2000 yds (that's 80 laps for you non-swimmers), several nights a week...so I thought why not!!! I raced Evan (and several others swimmers) in the 50 yd breast and the 100 yd breast. I held on tight in the 50 finishing less than a 1/2 second behind him but in the 100 he KICKED MY BUTT. He finished a whole 7 seconds faster than me. YIKES - I don't know if I can live with him anymore, the boy is fast.

OUR FAIRY GODDAUGHTER

Danielle competed several weeks ago for the Rodeo Queen in Woodland. She was awarded High Point Rider during the competetion.

I still have a hard time believing that she is 13 years old. She's turning in to such a beautiful young lady.

And yes...she does call us her Fairy Godparents. It started years ago before she was five and after she watched Cinderella. I wish I could make all her dreams come true like a real Fairy Godmother.

The Wedding Party
Here comes the bride, all dressed in white.... red...ahhh... black.
Violet and Victor (I mean Jessica & Chuck) won the costume contest at the chamber dinner as the Bride & Groom of Darkest. Stacie & Tom were Satan and his lovely bride. And then there was Gary & I... the hillbilly couple who juz got hitched. The only person missing from our picture is the preacher man.

The Weddin' Cake
If you're ever in need special cake for that special day...
just let me know.
Ok...seriously, it was part of our table decorations for last Saturday night's chamber's Harvest Festival. Who would have thought making a cake from snowballs, ho-ho, ding-dongs, twinkies and cupcakes would create such a stir. Our table theme was what else but a Wedding. We had the hillbilly couple, the bride & groom of darkness , Satan and his lovely bride and of course the preacher man to marry us all. I missed out on taking pictures of our group in costumes, hopefully I can get a few from the other brides. We won 2nd place for our table decorations and the bride & groom of darkness won for their costumes. Plans are in the making for next year's events.

My Parents... The Voyagers
My parents recently return from a trip to Alaska. This wasn't their first time there, they have been to Alaska on the average once a year for the past ten year. They love catching that Alaskan Halibut and Salmon. This year they tried a different adventure. They cruise down the inside passage from Ketchikan into the Canadian Waters and finished in Washington. Check out my mom's blog on their trip. It's a work in progress. I only hope that I can travel as much as they do when I retire!!! http://quilts-dals-and-more.blogspot.com/

Goin' to the chapel and we're Gonna get married
Gee, I really love you and we're Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel of love...
In 367 days, Greg will be a married man. It doesn't seem that long ago that he was in grade school and girls were yicky and yucky. Molly's a joy to have around, fits in our family perfectly, and puts up with all of Gary's fun lovin' harrasment. Like 1/2 tinted windows...a blonde moment for Molly.
It's very cute to see the two of them making wedding plans. They've been to all over looking for the perfect wedding spot and finally choose the Forest House in Forrest Hill. http://www.foresthouse.com/
